Christopher Allen Taylor

We are mourning the loss of our son, brother and friend, Chris Taylor, who died in a car crash in the early morning hours of Saturday, January 19th, 2002. Chris was beginning his second semester as a freshman at the University of Oklahoma when his lfe was cut short. He was loved by many family and friends. Many will miss him greatly as was evidenced by the overflowing attendance at the funeral services held at the the Bill Merritt Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Bethany Oklahoma on Monday, January 21st, 2002.

We know he has gone on to a better place where the lord needs him for his work in Paradise. Still, we will sadly miss him in all the things we had yet to do together here in this earthly dispensation. Instead we will have to settle for what memories we have. We will strive to post mementos below as time and space allow.

Chris was a member of the Beta Omicron Chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity at the University of Oklahoma in Norman Oklahoma where he had just taken over the position of scholarship chairman. In honor they have created an endowed memorial scholarship in his name. The scholarship is a fund within the Pi Kappa Alpha Education Foundation, a not-for-profit, charitable corporation. Already this fraternity plans to use the proceeds made from their Founders' Day celebration this year to go toward this scholarship fund. Also, donations can be made by sending a check made out to the PiKA Education Foundation to the memorial headquarters. Please put Christopher A. Taylor Memorial Scholarship on the memo line of the check. Also keep in mind that donations are tax deductible and qualify for most all employer donation matching programs.
